Bella McDowell, J.D.
For almost 15 years, Bella has partnered with some of the most exciting startups in the Bay Area. Bella graduated Cum Laude from Stetson University College of Law. After deciding a career in Family Law wasn’t the right path for her, she quickly discovered that working with startups was her passion.
Before founding B Squared, Bella spent time at established recruiting agencies where she began working with venture-backed startups. Today, she focuses on working with Seed to Series C startups as they scale their early teams. She has filled positions that range from VP of Marketing to VP of Engineering for clients in the Bay Area and beyond.
Bella resides in Marin County with her husband, Brandon. She enjoys hiking all over the Bay Area, is an avid runner and is passionate about wine.

As a founding partner of B Squared, Brandon brings 15 years of experience recruiting for startups in the Bay Area. He has a deep understanding of the hiring challenges founders face as they scale their companies and partners with them to unearth exceptional talent.
Brandon launched B Squared alongside his partner and wife Bella with a focus on providing a consultative approach to early-stage startups. He has placed key hires with venture-backed startups funded by some of the most successful VCs in the world such as a16z, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Sequoia Capital.
Brandon resides in Marin County and you can often find him stand-up paddling or seeking out amazing food throughout the Bay Area.
